Qatar to build one million houses in Indonesia

Indonesian Minister of State-Owned Enterprises said that the development of one million houses by the Qatari government will support President Prabowo’s program to build three million houses.

He added that sufficient land is required to build such houses. He mentioned that the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises controls land along and around the railway area.

The housing development in this area would adopt a Transit-Oriented Development (T.O.D.) concept, which is integrated with the railway station.

Earlier, the Indonesian government and Qatar agreed to collaborate and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the housing sector regarding the financing of one million houses for low-income people.
