Qatar announces partner for LNG production project

State-owned oil and gas company Qatar Energy signed a deal with French multinational Total Energies to join the North Field South expansion to Qatar's natural gas production capacity.

The partnership deal was signed by Qatar Energy Minister and Total Energies Chief Executive in Doha. In June and July of this year, Qatar Energy and Total Energies made five separate partnership announcements for the North Field Expansion (NFE) project that will cost around US$29 billion to construct.
