Qatar’s top diplomat is sworn in as new PM

Qatar’s top diplomat was sworn in as the country’s Prime Minister on Tuesday. Taking the oath of office, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani promised to take "full care" of the interests of the people and to perform his duties "honestly and honorably". Sheikh Mohammed served as foreign minister since 2016. He was replaced as interior minister on Tuesday by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
