Putin takes part in school opening in Tajikistan via video

Russian President Vladimir Putin joined a school opening ceremony in Tajikistan via video link on Thursday to mark the start of their new academic year.
Five schools teaching in Russian opened in various Tajik cities. The curriculum is adapted specifically for Tajikistan, and Russian teachers will teach there. "Tajik residents are annually given the opportunity to study in Russian higher education institutions at the expense of the Russian budget," Putin told the ceremony. "Money's not a problem for this, so to speak. It brings our countries and people closer", Putin added.
