Putin suggests declaring 2025 year of fighting Nazism

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday suggested declaring 2025 a year of "unity in fighting against Nazism."

The leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States including Russia, Belarus and other countries of the former USSR, are meeting during the CIS summit in Astana. Putin was scheduled to take part in the first Russia-Central Asia summit later in the day. He was then expected to hold a news conference about this week's summits.
