Putin on bilateral cooperation with Belarus

Belarus’ authoritarian president, Alexander Lukashenko, made an unannounced visit to Russia on Monday for bilateral talks with President Vladimir Putin.

The two met in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi. Putin said the economy and security were issues high on the agenda following talks earlier in the month at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Uzbekistan's city of Samarkand.
