Putin arrives in Uzbekistan's Tashkent for official visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Uzbekistan's capital, Tashkent for an official two-day visit and is greeted by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 26th May. This visit is Putin's third trip abroad since winning another term in March. Putin paid his respects by laying a wreath at the Monument of Independence in Tashkent.

The formal meeting between the two leaders is scheduled for 27th May. In preparation for the Uzbekistan visit, Putin and Mirziyoyev discussed a range of bilateral cooperation topics, including trade and economic relations, according to the Kremlin.
