Provision of foodstuff: Low income families provided foodstuff in Magway

The ceremony of providing basic foodstuff by the Magway Region Government to the low income families living in 9 wards which are the inner area of TaungTwingyi Township was held at Sasana Beikman in the morning on October 5 and the Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and region ministers provided 5 basic foodstuff and COVID-19 preventive Masks to the families.

First, the Chief Minister U Tint Lwin said that to facilitate the daily basic needs of food for the low income families living in 9 wards which are the inner area of TaungTwingyi Township, the Magwe Region Government provided basic foodstuff for 500 low income families and the TaungTwin Gyi Township Merchants Association and local donors donated for 250 families altogether 750 families are provided.

Township Administrator,Taung Twin Gyi Township, U Kyaw Zin Oo, said " Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the low income families have to be struggling for job and earning for basic needs. So, the region government and local well wishers provided their basic needs of foodstuff.

Ward Administrator, Maung Taing Ward (2), Taung Twin Gyi Tsp, U Nyi Hlaing, said "We collected list of families with large family members, low income and facing difficulties in basic needs of food by discussing with the responsible persons of ward sections and distributed tokens to them for receiving provisions. we carry out under the supervising of Township Administration Council and everything is going smoothly."

Resident, Maung Taing Ward (2), Taung Twin Gyi Tsp, U Hla Kyaing, said “ We are very thankful to the well wishers for providing rice, cooking oil etc. on behalf of all families.”

The chief minister U Tint Lwin and region ministers, patron and members of region Women’ Affairs Federation and well wishers provided rice, cooking oil, salt, chickpea, onion and Masks to the 750 low income families, it’s reported.
