Providing Seeds and Inputs: MCRD UM attended an event providing seeds and inputs

An event to distribute paddy seeds and agricultural inputs, aimed at achieving target yields per acre for the monsoon paddy in the 2025-2026 fiscal year, was held, on July 15, at the briefing hall in Minkone Village, Ottarathiri Township.

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development, U Hla Moe attended and delivered a speech. First, the Head of the Cooperative Department for Ottarathiri Township presented an overview of monsoon paddy cultivation by cooperatives within the township and the status of providing high-yield seeds and inputs.

The Union Minister then emphasized to the cooperative farmers that "you reap what you sow," urging them to strictly follow agricultural processes. He stressed the need for relevant officials to coordinate efforts to ensure farmers can plow, plant, and harvest on time, and to secure markets for their produce.

After discussing regional development matters, he addressed and fulfilled the requests made by the cooperative farmers. Subsequently, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister distributed high-yield seeds and agricultural inputs to monsoon paddy farmers in Ottarathiri Township.

Following this, the Union Minister and officials inspected the Ngwe Zin Yaw Brick Factory in Ma Yan Khon Village, Ottarathiri Township, and reviewed the progress of repairing the elevated water tank damaged by the major Mandalay earthquake, providing necessary guidance.

They then inspected the ongoing upgrade of the Aung Chan Thar – Mee Laung Kone inter-village road in Ottarathiri Township to a concrete road and the laying of hard shoulders, offering further instructions. Finally, the Union Minister and officials visited the "Shan Ma Lay" consumer goods enterprise in Zalaungtaung Modern Model Village.

There, they encouraged trainees who had completed consumer goods production technology training and received operational supplies. The Union Minister discussed and instructed that relevant officials at all levels should provide necessary assistance and capital to ensure the continuous operation of these businesses, and also help connect them to markets and ensure the quality of their products.
