Providing Relief Supplies: Shan State Chief Minister provides supplies to TDPs

Lashio in Shan State (North) experienced explosions from small and heavy weapons and shock missiles launched by the terrorist insurgents MNDAA and TNLA in July 2024.

This led to widespread fear and concern among local residents, prompting many to evacuate their homes and seek refuge temporarily in Taunggyi, Shan State (South). Accommodation and healthcare services for the temporarily displaced people were provided at Taunggyi Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association, YatTawMu Monastery, Taunggyi Mahayana Temple, Chinese Baptist Church, Kokang Chinese Temple, and Shan PitakaMonastery.

On July 21st and 22nd, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and other concerned officials visited these sites, distributed supplies and gave words of encouragement to the displaced residents.
