Providing Project Support Materials: MCRD UM delivered the opening remarks

The Department of Small-Scale Industries under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a ceremony to distribute project support materials and equipment implemented with the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2024) at the Ministry's meeting hall on July 2nd and the Union Minister U Hla Moe attended and delivered the opening remarks.

The Union Minister expressed for the recipients to utilize the provided materials and equipment to produce high-quality, safe, and marketable value-added food products using local agricultural produce. He also urged them to strive for the production of import-substitution goods.

When manufacturing food products, he stressed the importance of prioritizing consumer safety and nutritional value. He further encouraged effective and efficient use of the provided materials and urged officials to oversee the process.

Following the speech, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, Permanent Secretary, and Directors-General presented the business operation materials to 25 trainees who intend to establish their own businesses. Attendees then watched a video clip showcasing the training courses initiated with the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2024) during the 2024-2025 financial year, and a group photo was taken.

After that, attendees toured the exhibition of the provided operational materials and small-scale products.
