Providing industrial equipment: Rakhine State Chief Minister attended the ceremony

The ceremony of providing industrial equipment and tools was held at Khaing ThaZin Hall in Sittwe Township of Rakhine State on Monday, according to creating small-scale manufacturing businesses and rural family income growth project of Rakhine State Small Scale Industries Department for 2023-2024 fiscal year.

First, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin said that the current implementing project greatly supports the promotion of export sector which encourages Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). And, the chief minister and officials provided industrial equipment and tools to the trainees of soap production, handloom and sewing training courses and one of the trainees expressed words of thanks.

This was followed by the documentary photo session. And, the Chief Minister and party toured around the equipment displayed in the hall. Next, the Chief Minister and party attended the ceremony of reciting Maha Pathana Dhamma discourse and Uppatasanti Paritta Suttas marking New Year at Lawka Nandar Pagoda in Sittwe.

At the ceremony, the congregation led by the Chief Minister observed five precepts administered by the Ovadacariya Presiding Sayadaw of Sittwe Nandar Yama Pariyatti Sarthintaik Bhaddanta Nandasiri, took the Metta Sutta and recited by the Members of Sangha and donated rice and offertories.

The congregation listened to the sermon delivered by Presiding Sayadaw of Tat-U Sutaungpyae Pariyatti  Monastery Bhaddanta Nanavamsa and shared the merits gained. Then, the ceremony was concluded. In the afternoon on the same day, the Chief Minister attended a work coordination meeting of state-level departmental personnel at the Rakhine State Government office.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to draw up and submit within the subsidy limits set by the financial framework, in drawing up the estimates of normal expenditure and capital expenditure for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

Then, the members of the State Government reported the work undertaking and financial statement as per the ministry respectively. And, the Chief Minister reviewed the presentations upon the reports and delivered closing speech.
