Providing foodstuff: Kayah State CM provided foodstuff for flood-affected people

Regarding the effects of Typhoon Yagi, some regions and states have experienced floods and waterlogging, causing extensive damage. For the convenience of food requirement of flood affected people, the event of providing foodstuff delivered by the National Disaster Management Committee to the flood victims in Kayah State was held at the State Hall on October 9.

Speaking on the occasion, State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin said that for the convenience of food requirement of flood affected people in Kayah State, the canned food and dried noodle delivered by the National Disaster Management Committee are provided. The State Government is carrying out the distribution systematically to reach to the hands of flood affected people equally.

After one month later, the water has receded in some higher area and the houses have been free from flooding and people from those areas can return to their places after reporting to the relevant security and administrative officials. After the flood, the agriculture, livestock and vocational works can be resumed in momentum and all are urged to participate in the rehabilitation works.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials provided canned food and dried noodles and the representatives from the flood relief camps and flood affected words accepted the provisions.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials oversaw the status of water receding in Namp Kut and Minsu Wards and gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned.
