Providing cash and relief items: DPM Union Minister inspects arrival of rescue aid

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San presented cash assistance and relief items for the staffs from the departments affected by clone in Rakhine State under the Ministry and looked into more arrival of resuce and rehabilitation materials at the ports.

First, Admiral Tin Aung San attended cash and relief items presentation ceremony for the staffs from the departments under the Ministry in Rakhine State. At the event, the Admiral said that the administrative buildings and housings of the departments were damaged by the Mocha cyclone. Depending on the allocation of relief and rehabilitation materials, assistance will be provided according to the priority plan.

The cash assistance provided now is to support for the matters that need to be spent on urgent matters and therefore, it is necessary to immediately support other storm-affected areas, he said. After that, Admiral Tin Aung San presented cash and relief items to officals of respective departments.

At the Phaungdaw Gyi jetty of Myanma Port Authority, he looked into transporting materials to be used in rehabilitation tasks to the port from the AQUARIUS vessel. Later, Admiral Tin Aung San together with Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naun and the Rakhine State Chief Minsiter visited Sittwe Multi-Modal Transit port and inspected arrival of Navy vessel Myitkyina carrying resuce and rehabilitation materials and called for promptly distribution of relief items to affected areas.

In the afternoon, they attended a coordination meeting for rehabilitation at the Rakhine State Government office and coordinated the needs on the reports of officials from respective work committees.
