Providing Assistances: MoSWRR Union Minister provided relief items

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine and officials provided cash assistance of 30,000 Kyats per person for 14 individuals including the vulnerable groups such as expectant mothers, elders aged 70 years and above and children under 5 through the officials from the Ministry of Health and the officials from 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital in the morning on 23rd April.

Next, the chair of national disaster management work committee Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine and members of Nay Pyi Taw disaster management committee led by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin visited Aung Myin Gone nad Tadar-U villages, encouraged the tornado victims of the villages and explained the status of assistances including foodstuff and drinking water contributed by the ministries and the well wishers to provide equally, emergency clinic and portable toilets with water tank to be provided, resettlement of village, systematic formation of land plots, accessibility of electric power and water and the reconstruction of houses, vaccination of COVID-19 booster dose.

The union minister and officials provided relief boxes contained 17 kinds of relief items to the tornado victims and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman provided basic foodstuff contributed by the Nay Pyi Taw Council and well wishers to the officials from the district administration council.

Next, the union minister and nay Pyi Taw Council chairman paid homage to the members of Sangha at the Tadar-U Village monastery and explained the status of providing assistances for the disaster victims and the cash donation was offered to the Sayadaws.

Then, the Union Minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials inspected damaged buildings, staff housing, power post and power cable in Sankalay cemetery in Lewe Township and instructed to reconstruct the buildings, erecting the power post and connecting power cable and coordinated required matters.

The department of social welfare will collect the list of vulnerable groups in Tadar-U and Aung Myin Gone Villages and provide cash assistance of 30,000 per person, it’s learnt.
