Providing Assistances: MoLA Union Minister provided cash and relief items

The ceremony of providing corrugated iron sheets for the renovation of law offices affected by the cyclonic storm Mocha in Rakhine State, cash assistance for the welfare of the personnel serving in the law offices and medicines was held at the Tawwin Thazin Hall of the Rakhine State Advocate General Office in the morning on June 23rd with the attendance of Union Minister for Legal Affairs, Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo.

First, the Rakhine State Advocate General U Hla Thein clarified the work implementations of the law offices, damages of the office buildings affected by the cyclonic storm Mocha and the status of maintaining works.

Then, the Union Minister Union Attorney General said it’s needed to submit the budget propose to obtain the budget allocation for the renovation of the law offices and staff housings damaged by the storm as the department is the one which uses the expense from the State budget fund.

The Union Ministry of Legal Affairs comes to donate a total of 423 CI Sheets and 20 million Kyats of cash assistance for the staff welfare and 10.9 million Kyats donated by the offices from the regions and states under the Ministry were contributed for the cyclone victims in Rakhine State through the National Natural Disaster Management Committee.

Thanks to the guidance of National Natural Disaster Management Committee, as the well preparations could be conducted prior to the landfall of the storm, there no casualties of the personnel and only some buildings have damaged. All who have participated actively in the rehabilitation works are thankful and appreciated for their efforts.

Next, the law officers from districts and townships clarified the status of damaged offices, carrying out the rehabilitation tasks and normal operation of the officials, the State advocate General and the director General supplemented and the Union Minister coordinated necessary matters upon the clarifications.
