Providing Assistance: Tatmadaw And MMPO Donated Relief Items

In collaboration with Myanmar Motion Picture Organization,  Tadmadaw family (Army, Navy and Air force) provided rice, oil and foodstuff  to the people in the film industry  during Covid -19 period on 21st July at MMPO headquarters, Yangon.

The purpose of donation is to help solve the difficulties in essential needs for the people in the film industry amid Covid-19. There are eight relief items provided by the MMPO and Tamadaw. In addition, Victamin C water cold drink and masks are also provided.

Vice chairman, Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, Aye Kyuu said “I want them to be comfortable in their daily needs in such a time of hardship. In our film industry, most of them are daily wages laborers. So, we try to provide them constantly. Sometimes, we have to struggle to provide them because it costs above 40 million Kyats to provide once. We will try to provide in the future. This is the fourth time of donation.”

Actress, Supporting Role, Aye Aye Khine said “I feel happy to receive the relief items not only for me but also for my co-workers. Our community and leaders have never turned their back from us and always take care of us and make contribution whenever we are in need. Thanks to their contribution, we do not face severe hardship.” 

Actor, Supporting Role, Moe Dee said “This event is very great and I am very thankful to the donors. We have no works during stay-at-home period. They donate the foodstuff and rice for us. We spent resources in hand very carefully. It amazingly coincidence with their donation and our resources almost running out. And I am very thankful to Tadmadaw for their donation.”

The donation will be held for three days for three strata of artists with two times a day: from 9 Am to 12 and 1 Pm to 4. There are over 4000 people in film industry. Among them about 1500 people join the event.
