Providing Assistance: Relief measures for flood victims in Nay Pyi Taw

Led by Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than, members of disaster management committee of the Ministry of Industry met with 3,500 flood victims from eightvillages of Zeyathiri Township in Hlay Khwin Taung and gave words of comfort, inspecting rendering health care service.

The Union Minister met with the relevant officials and instructed on systematic rendering of health care service, sufficient supply of drinking water, communicable disease prevention and implementation of other rehabilitation task.

During the visit, over 2.1 million kyats worth of essential supplies including clothes, rice, edible oil and medicine were provided to the flood victims. They then oversaw the relief measures, carried out by well-wishers and philanthropic organizations.
