


Under the instruction of National Disaster Management Committee and supervision of the Committee on Transport and Communications,MV WERU PACK KHA vessel left for Sittway from the Myanmar Terminal (TMT) on Tuesday by carrying 34.84 tons of electric towers and related materials.
20 sets of transformers, 464 tons of various sizes of sawn timbers, 57,333 corrugated iron sheets, 144 tarpaulins, rice bags, household salts, edible oil, instant noodles, dried fish, canned foods and other food stuff, clothes and utensils, 1,294.47 tons of relief items including medicines transported by the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, the Ministry of Electric Power, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Yangon Region Government and Myanma Economic Corporation to be used in the rescue works of natural disaster in Rakhine State.
The construction materials, electrical appliances, health materials, household goods and food stuff weighing more than 22,817 tons have been transported to Rakhine State by 16 vessels starting from 5th May to date.
