






A donation ceremony on cash, foodstuff and resettlement materials for the strong wind-affected households in TadaOo village, Lewe township in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory was held at the Basic Education Primary School of the village on 28th May.
First, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin said in order to carry out the rehabilitation works in the damaged villages, the respective committees have been formed, and the rescue and rehabilitation tasks including resettlement and drinking water access are being provided to the affected people.
Then, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, council memebrs and officials provided timber, iron sheets and 7.7 million kyats, rehabilitation materials and medicines for the affected households in TadaOo village. Thye later inspected the School Enrollment Week activities at the TadaOo Village school and provided the Text books, stationery and school uniforms to the students.
At the Aung Myin Kone village, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials provided rehabilitation materials and 15.5 million kyats to the affected people. They also viewed the process of school enrollment at the village basic education shcool and provided assistance to the students.
The Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials then visited the village monestary and inspected the renovation of damaged buildings at the monestary. They then arrived at SanKalay Cemetery, and inspected the renovation and cleaning works at the damaged buildings due to the strong wind. It is learnt that over 418 miillion kyats worth relief items and cash assistance were provided for the two villages affected by the strong wind.
