Providing assistance: Relief aids supplied by Tatmadaw vessel

To provide necessary assistance to cyclone-affected people in Sittwe of Rakhine State where loss and damages were suffered by very severe cyclonic storm MOCHA, a 29-m docking vessel from Tatmadaw Navy brought 3000-corrugated iron sheets, 52 bundles of tarpaulins, 50 tarpaulin sheets, 216 boxes of nails, 16 tarpaulin tents, 6000 eggs, 184 packs of instant noodles, tooth brushes and pastes, empty water bottles, toilet bowls and pipes, oral rehydration salt sachets and construction tools totaling 55 tons of cargos from three vessels of MV Aquarius, MV sunshine and MV Fortune in Sittwe and left for a docking place in Pauktaw on Friday.

The relief aids and materials carried by the Navy vessel were handed over to officials and they will be promptly distributed to storm-hit people.
