Providing assistance: Kayah State CM provided assistances for IDPs

Due to the forceful collection of extortion money, forced summoning of foods, recruitment of new members by the terrorist insurgents so-called KNDF, KNPP, PDF at Ywa Tan Shay, Daw San Bun , HtuDuu Ngan Tha villages in Loikaw Township on 27th July, 2024, the residents displaced to Loikaw to escape from the dangers with the help of local security members.

Collection of household lists of a total of 730 displaced peoples constituted 230 households, making records of their data and distribution of take-out-rice by the local battalions and those were conveyed to the temporary relief camps.

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo tin, Commander of local military Command center, State Government members and officials visited MingalarGandayon monastery and Hilly Region Missionary center Tat-U monastery where the temporary displaced persons are taking shelter, gave words of comfort, provided rice, cooking oil, dry noodle and cash assistance and fulfilled requirements reported by the people.

The personnel from the Department of Public Health in the State also provided healthcare for the displaced persons and coordinated requirements for the convenience of accommodation, it’s reported.
