Providing assistance: Kachin State CM provided assistance for IDPs

The Kachin State Chief Minister U KhetHtin Nan and officials provided rice, cooking oil and cash assistance for the households who will return to their native villages in Waimaw Township from the 4 IDP camps in Myitkyina in the morning on 21st of March.

First, the Chief Minister, state ministers, state advocate general and departmental officials met with the families sheltered at Man Khein Baptist Salvation Camp in Man Khein ward of Myitkyina and gave words of encouragement. Next, the chief minister and officials provided over 5 million Kyats of cash assistance for 25 households of 144 population who will return to Zuu Yan and Da Bat Yan Villages and one people expressed words of thanks on behalf of all households.

Similarly, the Chief Minister and party visited Zee Ohn IDP camp, met with the families who will return to the native villages of Zuu Yan, Da Bat Yan and Gar Rar Yan Villages and provided over 7.9 million Kyats for rice and relief items. The Kachin State Government provided rice, cooking oil and cash assistance as well as the transportation with motor vehicles.

likewise, the Chief Minister together with the state ministers, state, district and township level departmental officials and staff members and local residents took part in the collective walking in the state sports ground and practices the fitness dance, it’s reported.
