







Member of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win and Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited relief camp for the internal displaced persons at Naung Nan (8 miles) AG Church in Myitkyina Township in the afternoon on 7th July and provided men and women shirts donated by the Head of State, 50 rice bags, 4 boxes of fish cans, 243 boxes of dried noodle, 20 (10-visses) oil containers, purified water bottles and basic foodstuffs worth 9.43 million Kyats donated by the Kachin State Government and 27.689 million Kyats worth relief items included toothpaste, toothbrush, anti-bacterial carbolic soap donated by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, explained the efforts of the Government for the development of the country, requirements of the people to collaborate, needs to comply with the directive to preventive the infectious diseases, inquired the requirements of the persons in the camp, cordially greeted them and fulfilled requirements upon the reports.
Next, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement handed 52.193 million Kyats for 12,427 displaced persons from 2537 households arrived at the camps in Myitkyina and Waimaw Townships during May and June, to the state Chief minister.
From there, the SAC member, Union Minister and State Chief Minister inspected the status of river water breaking into the houses and silts posting at the low-lying ward of Rampu of Myitkyina and gave necessary instruction, it’s learnt.
