Providing Assistance: Aftermath of tornado in Kungyangon Township

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein together with officials visited Kungyangon Township on Saturday to assess the tornado hit villages, and provide assistance.

During the visit, the Chief Minister met with the affected villagers and provided assistance. Kanyinkone and Nyaungnikone Villages in the township were hit by a tornado in the early morning of July 25th. Local authorities are now clearing the debris, to carry out the rehabilitation tasks as soon possible. Over 200 residents from 74 households were affected by the tornado.
