Promoting Tourism: Myanmar’s participation in Russia Tourism Fair

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win met with the Myanmar delegation that represented the country at the Gastronomic and Tourism Fair, held from July 11 to 13, in Novosibirsk, Russia.

At the meeting, officials reported on Myanmar’s tourism promotion efforts at the fair, including traditional food preparation, cultural performances, and participation by Myanmar students and embassy staff. The Myanmar booth attracted interest from Russian visitors and helped promote the country as a travel destination.

The Union Minister emphasized stronger Myanmar-Russia cooperation in tourism, encouraging collaboration between government and private sectors. He praised the success of Myanmar's participation and called for continued efforts to attract more Russian tourists.

A certificate of recognition was presented to the Union Minister by the Myanmar Tourism Federation for the participation in the fair. The event and Myanmar’s booth were also featured widely by Russian media and social platforms.
