Promoting Tourism Industry: MoHT Union Minister meets the Russian delegation

Aiming to develop tourism industry between Myanmar and Russian Federation and to support making investments by Russian businessmen in Myanmar, the Russian delegation led by President of the Siberian Association for International Cooperation Mr. Pavel Ostroverhov paid a courtesy call on Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Aung Thaw at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the matters on visiting Russian visitors to the heritage sites and beach destination in Myanmar, to promote exchange visits by making online meetings between tour companies of Myanmar and Russia, operating direct flights between Novosibirsk and Myanmar, providing assistance to make investments in tourism industry in Myanmar but also in other businesses, implementation of  “Welcome Russia Program in Myanmar”  program and arrangement for “Familiarization –FAM Trip”, convenience in using currency for the Russian visitors in Myanmar and cooperation in tourism industry of the two countries
