





Sports and Physical Education Department under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs opened Capacity Enhancement Training Course for swimming coaches in collaboration with Myanmar Swimming Federation.
The opening ceremony was held at the Multipurpose Hall of Gold Camp in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
In the opening remarks, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan said that collective efforts are needed in all sector to be able to participate in swimming event at 33rd SEA Games and to win many medals.
Swimming sport is the one that awarded over 40 gold medals like track and field sport. He added that plans are underway to hold region/state swimming competition in coming November. Likewise, arrangements are being made to include swimming event in 2024 National Sport Festival.
He also urged all the swimming coaches in Myanmar to understand upgraded rules and regulations and to handover to the next generation youths.
The Union Minister and party later enjoyed the events of 2023 Region and State U-25 Track and Field Competition, and presented medals and championship trophies to the winning teams respectively.
