Promoting Literature: Awarding Ceremony for National Literary Award

Awarding Ceremony to the winners of 2023 Life Long Literary Award, National Literary Award and SarpayBeikman Manuscript Award was held at Myanmar International Convention Center (1) in Nay Pyi Taw.

This year ceremony marks the 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee of the National Literary Award. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony.

Prior to the event, the Prime Minister wife formally opened the commemorative booth of the Diamond Jubilee National Literary Award, and viewed the displays of prize winning books, photos of awardees and their biographies as well as books and periodicals and booths on development of Myanmar Literature in Innwa Era and literary works.

In the subsequent event, the Prime Minister and party enjoyed the performance to mark the Diamond Jubilee National Literary Award. This was followed by screening of a video clip on promoting literature for prestige of the nation.

In his speech, the Prime Minister made a speech. Then, the awards were presented to the winners of Life Long Literary Award, National Literary Award and SarpayBeikman Manuscript Award. After the ceremony, the artistes from Myanma Radio and Television staged the performance, followed by a dramatic play by the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
