Progress 82 cargo craft lifts off to ISS

A Soyuz rocket carrying an unpiloted Progress 82 mission launched successfully early Wednesday at 5:20 a.m. local time in Baikonur from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The Roscosmos cargo spacecraft is carrying about three tons of food, fuel, and supplies for crew aboard the International Space Station. The Progress spacecraft is expected to take just over two days to reach the International Space Station. Automatic docking is scheduled for about 10:49 p.m. on Thursday.
