Products of Nipa Palm: Over 100 items of consumer goods enabled to produce

Nipa palm trees naturally grow in the creeks and river basin in Kyauk Phyu Township of Rakhin State and after researching on raw materials from Nipa palm trees by using modern techniques, related consumer goods from Nipa palm trees are being produced and distributed to the domestic markets.

And also plans are underway to penetrate the foreign markets. Over 10 items of consumer products including Nipa wine and dry flower buds of Nipa palm mixed with tea leafas well as about 5 kinds of medicines are being produced in Kyauk Phyu Township and distributed across the country.

Previously, locals only know how the technique of producing traditional distilled Nipa juice from trees and they observed that Korea and Japan produce over 100 kinds of products from Nipa palm trees. That’s why the locals from Kyauk Phyu Township are producing products related with the Nipa palm trees by conducting research on them.

By drinking distilled Nipa palm juice which is got from dry globular fruit cluster, it can give many benefits asanti-cancer agent, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases as well as it can be curable eyes and gout diseases. At present, over 100 items of consumer goods including makeup, toothpaste and shampoo can be able to produce, it’s reported.
