The procession of the Dead Lord

The Procession of the Dead Lord once again travelled through the streets of Macau this Good Friday.The annual tradition was attended by thousands of people accompanying the faithful who carried the statue of Jesus Christ in a coffin through the streets around the Cathedral.

The Procession of the Dead Lord (also known as the “Procession of the Lord’s Burial”) is a religious ceremony that is held annually by the Catholic Diocese of Macau on the Friday preceding Easter (Good Friday) to honor the crucifixion and death of Jesus.
