Private Sector Dev.: VP Attended 8th Meeting Of Private Sector Development Committee

The 8th coordination meeting of private sector development committee was held at the meeting hall of the ministry of commerce, Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday and the chairman of the private sector development committee, vice president U Myint Swe delivered a remark.

Also present at the meeting were vice chairman of the private sector development committee union minister for commerce Dr. Than Myint, union ministers Dr. Aung Thu, U Thant Sin Maung, U Win Khaing, U Soe Win and U Han Zaw, union attorney general U Tun Tun Oo, deputy minister U Aung Htoo, deputy governor of the central bank of Myanmar U Soe Thein, chairmen and vice chairmen of 5 working committee, permanent secretaries, directors-general, chairman of UMFCCI, chairman of industrial production federation  and departmental officials.

In his remark, the vice president U Myint Swe said that the Private Sector Development Committee led by the vice president with 20 members was formed with the notification (79/2016) issued by the office of president on 24th October, 2016 for the effective implementation of the private sector development works.

5 working committees to implement the 5 tasks were formed. The first meeting of committee was held on 28th November, 2016 and this is the 8th meeting. From the first meeting to 7th meeting, out of totaling 55 decisions, 50 decisions were implemented 5 are under implementation.

The committee is urged to cooperate in order to complete the 5 ongoing implementations by designating a period. Next, the vice chairman of the private sector development committee union minister for commerce Dr. Than Myint clarified the implementations for the private sector development.

Then, the secretary of private sector development committee, permanent secretary U Yan Naing Tun explained the completion of implementations on the decisions in 7th meeting. Later, the chairmen and vice chairmen of 5 working committee clarified the relating works.

Afterwards, the members of committee, union ministers discussed the works ought to be done for the development of private sector. Then, the secretary of Group on increasing Ease of Doing Business Ranking clarified the works to be done to increasing Doing Business Ranking.

Later, the senior officials explained the implementations as the respective fields regarding with the doing business report. Then, the meeting was concluded after coordinating regarding with the clarifications by the vice president.
