Private Healthcare Services: Central Committee held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

The Central Committee on Private Healthcare Services held its meeting 2/2023 at the Ministry of Health in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. At the meeting, Union Minister Dr Thet Khine Win said that as the government is encouraging to open the Private health institutions successfully through smooth process, special emphases are being made in order not to delay in permitting licenses. 

The Central Committee had already granted permission to 5,124 General clinics, 1,002 Special clinics, and 270 General hospitals. He pointed out that it is necessary to scrutinize the quality of healthcare services, arrangements for safety of patients, work place and environment.

He also stressed the need to conduct the tasks in line with the law/by laws of Private Healthcare services. The Union Minister urged all to participate in discussion and make a piece of advice for the the development of the private healthcare services in acccordance with the law. Later, the officials made a round of discussion on the progress of the private healthcare services, and the Union Minister delivered a closing remark.
