Britain's Prince William met with world leaders and delivered a speech at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow on Tuesday.

After addressing the conference himself, William introduced 15-year-old Earthshot Prize winner Vinisha Umashankar onto the stage. The prince's Earthshot awards, held for the first time last month, hailed winners from individuals to countries for their new ideas and technologies for tackling climate change.

Umashankar from southern India created a solar-powered ironing cart for use in place of charcoal-burning presses. William also was speaking with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US climate envoy John Kerry.

In a conversation with delegates, he likened the summit to speed dating in terms of the quick conversations to be had.
