Prime Minister visits to tackle flood, drought

Thai Prime minister is spending on 20th December in the northeastern provinces of Khon Kaen and Maha Sarakham, to follow up on water resources management and to deliver policies to address flood and drought issues. Her military aircraft landed at Khon Kaen airport, from where Paetongtarn Shinawatra and her entourage proceeded to the Huai Nam Khem floodgate, for a briefing on water management plans by the relevant authorities. 

In the afternoon, she hosted a meeting at Maha Sarakham University to review the implementation of the ‘One District One Scholarship’ program, funded by lottery revenues, aimed at expanding educational opportunities for underprivileged students, as well as the ‘Village and Community Potential Development’ projects.
