Prime Minister Bettel casts vote in general elections

Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel cast vote to the polls for the general elections. At the end of the vote, 60 members of parliament will be appointed, and the parties will form a coalition to run the country.

Bettel has led a three-party coalition of Liberals, Socialists and Greens since 2013, which together hold 31 of the 60 seats in the outgoing Chamber. He has announced that he is standing for re-election as Prime Minister.
