Prevention Measures: Efforts to mitigate floods in Nay Pyi Taw

State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister, and Union Minister for Transport and Communications, General Mya Tun Oo, accompanied by relevant officials inspected the temporary prevention works at the UYin Bridge entrance on Sin Thay Creek in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

During the visit, they oversaw dredging and embankment construction while providing instructions based on the reports. The Union Minister and party also inspected the prevention measures from surging at Nawin Creek’s water channels, silting operations and retaining wall construction near milepost 245/7 on the Yangon-Mandalay Road, as well as retaining wall works in Inn Thar village tract, Zeyathiri Township. After reviewing the reports, the Union Minister instructed timely completion, adherence to quality standards, and workplace safety.
