Press Secretary Jen Psaki asked about leaving WH

Press secretary Jen Psaki would not confirm or deny reports that she leaving the White House for a position with a U.S. cable news network. Psaki is in exclusive talks with MSNBC to join the network after she leaves the White House around May.

Jen Psaki, White House press secretary said "I have nothing to confirm about my length of public service or planned service or anything about consideration, about next plans," "I'm very happy to be standing with all of you here today after it felt like a never ending endless time in my basement quarantining away from my family."

Psaki, 43, said she had taken the ethics legal requirements "very seriously," and dismissed concerns of conflicts posed by negotiations over future employment. During the Obama administration, Psaki served as White House communications director and as State Department spokesperson. In January of 2021, Psaki said she would remain in her current position for a year.
