Press Release : Meeting with members of MISIS

H.E. U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs delivered the Speech at the Meeting with the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS), which was held at the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies’ Meeting Room in Yangon at 1:30 p.m. on 23 May.

In his opening remarks, the Union Minister explained on the implementation of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs in accordance with the Road Map and the objectives defined by the State Administrative Council and, discussed on the current international affairs. He also shared the information on cooperation with the National Disaster Management Committee for the people of Cyclone Mocha-affected areas.

Then, the Boards of Members of the MISIS reported to the Union Minister on the current activities undertaken by the Institute and briefed on academic related matters from the scholar’s perspectives. Based upon their discussions, the Union Minister provided necessary guidance for the future activities of the Institute.

Present at the meeting were the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of MISIS and, Directors-General and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
