Press Release: DPM received Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai on 30 August at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk Phaw relations, accelerating the implementation of Myanmar-China bilateral projects on the basis of mutual benefit, the maintenance of peace and stability along the border areas between Myanmar and China, implementation of repatriation of verified displaced persons from Rakhine state and China’s continuous constructive support towards Myanmar development endeavor as well as further enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation both at regional and international arena particularly ASEAN and United Nations.
