Presidential candidates take to stage in first debate

Brazil's presidential candidates Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and incumbent Jair Bolsonaro took part in the country's first presidential debate on Sunday.

The televised debate took place just weeks before millions of Brazilians are set to go to the polls in the October vote.

It was watched by millions of voters but most analysts say it’s unlikely to have much effect on the final vote tally for either of the main candidates.
