On January 19, supporters of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol stormed the Seoul Western District Court after a detention warrant was issued for him. The protesters clashed with police, seized equipment, and vandalized the courthouse, throwing fire extinguishers and damaging property. Some breached the building in search of the judge who issued the warrant.

The situation was contained by police after several hours, with over 80 arrests and more than 40 officers injured, seven seriously. The protests continued into the afternoon outside the Constitutional Court, where further clashes occurred. This violent response underscores ongoing political tensions in South Korea.
