The President of Turkmenistan elected chairman of the UN Conference

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has been officially elected as the chairman of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This was announced by the Secretary-General of the United Nations at the opening ceremony, which took place at the “Avaza” sports complex.

In his speech, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the strategic importance of the conference for the implementation of key UN programs, such as the Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Pact for the Future. The head of state noted the need for a comprehensive approach to solving the humanitarian, economic, social, and environmental problems of landlocked countries.
