




South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will make a four-day visit to China from January 4th to7th for summit talks with President Xi Jinping, marking their second meeting in about two months following an invitation extended during talks at the APEC event.
He will then head to Shanghai on January 6th for a two-day stay. This carries historical significance as next year marks the 150th year of the birth of freedom fighter Kim Gu and the 100th anniversary of the provisional Korean government in Shanghai.
The two leaders meeting again after two months is seen as a positive signal in improving bilateral relations. Talks are expected on follow up measures to implement MOUs on supply chains and AI agreed on during the earlier summit.
