President Jokowi visits Australia

President Joko Widodo and First Lady is on an official visit to Australia from 3th to 5th July. The president will meet Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and to hold the eighth Australia-Indonesia annual leaders' meeting.

The leaders will discuss cooperation under the comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as deepening commercial and economic links and opportunities countries through the transition to net zero. Bilateral ties between Indonesia and Australia include cooperation on climate and dean energy transition, defense, security, economic development, trade, investment and education.

The two countries share a vision of an open, stable and prosperous region, with the association of Southeast Asian nations at the centre of the region's affairs. Australia will continue to support Indonesia’s priorities as 2023 ASEAN chair.
