Presenting religious exam certificate: Sagaing Region CM offered offertories to the Sangha

The ceremony of presenting certificate of passing religious examination was organized by the Sagaing Region Government at the Chindwin Hall of the region government office in the morning on April 4 with the presence of Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, region chief justice, members of region government, region/district and township level departmental officials, township elders and invited guests.

First, the congregation led by the Chief Minister observed five precepts administered by the presiding Sayadaw of Dhamma Paragu monastery of Monywa Township.

Next, the congregation took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha, chief minister and region government members and region level departmental officials offered offertories to the Sangha and the Chief Minister supplicated religious matters.

Next, the chief minister presented offertories, cash donation and certificate of passing religious exam in standing second top in the whole country to Ashin Osadhalankara from Thathana Yaung Chhi monastery in Monywa Township.

Then, the chief minister, members of region government and region level departmental officials presented the certificate and cash donation to the members of Sangha and nuns from Monywa, Chaung-U, Butalin and Ayadaw Townships.

Next, the congregation took the sermon delivered by the presiding Sayadaw of Yankin monastery in Monywa Township and shared the merits gained.

Afterward, the chief minister, members of region government and officials offered rice provisions and day meal to the members of Sangha.
