






A ceremony to present honourary titles offered by the State in commemoration of the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 was held at the city hall in Taunggyi on Friday.
At the ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister Thiri Pyanchi Dr Kyaw Tun said that honorary titles and medals were offered to those who sacrificed lives and sweat in building a peaceful, modern and developed nation from the independence struggle period to date, those who lost their lives in safeguarding Three Main National Causes, those who performed outstandingly in economic, social and public affair management sectors and those who performed excellently the interests of the state and the people in military and regional affairs, those who innovated in science, arts, and any other field at the world-class level for the nation and the people, those who are professional in literature and arts and those who endeavoured perseveringly for the security of the state, peace, tranquility and the Rule of Law on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day.
Out of the honourary title recipients in Shan State in 2022, Thiri Pyanchi title would be offered to 2 recipients, Wunna Kyaw Htin title to 2 winners, Alinkar Kyawswa title to 1 winner, altogether 5. The received honorary tiles should be proud of posterity as it is a symbol recognized by the State for their successful abilities and performances throughout their life with hardships.
The Chief Minister said that he is proud of them on behalf of the State and the people and urged them to continue keep the high dignity that performed for the state. Later, the State Chief Minister and the Eastern Command Commander presented honourary titles to title recipient persons.
