Yangon ICT Fair will be held from the 3rd to the 5th of May at Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon.
Preparations are underway the Yangon Region Computer Industry Association said at press conference on the upcoming Information and communications technology Fair on Wednesday. The upcoming fair will be the first edition in 2019. It’s for the development of ICT industry, to promote ICT knowledge and to observe the latest technology and update model in one place. The e-government system enables the government institutions to prove effective services through ICT technology. ICT is essential for the country’s development, Chairman of the Yangon Region Computer Industry Association said.
Chairman, Yangon Region Computer Industry Association, Myo Min Oo said “Country’s development also depends on the ICT development. This fair has been held annually since 1999 – 4 times a year then – now twice a year. The exhibition will cover ICT related items such as software, hardware, electronic dictionary training and training program. There will also be education and career counseling programs especially for the youths and also lucky draw program for visitors and buyers.”
The upcoming Yangon ICT Fair is organized by Yangon Region Computer Industry Association in cooperation with Yangon Region Computer Professionals Association.
Secretary, Yangon Region Computer Professionals Association, Phyu Nwe Yi Thein said “We want to help the public expand ICT knowledge and know the latest technology that’s why we organize such a fair – the public’s interest in the fair grows year after year. Our association carries out many activities including ICT seminar in high schools, expo and network developers’ events and training program.”
The 3-day upcoming Yangon ICT Fair will have 135 booths from 52 ICT related companies. The second edition of the fair will be held in October.
