Preparations Underway: Singapore Festival 2020 On February 1, 2 In Chin Tsong Palace

Preparations are underway for the Singapore Festival 2020 on the 1st and 2nd of February 2020 in Chin Tsong Palace compound in Yangon.

The upcoming 4th Singapore Festival 2020 organized by Singapore Tourism Board will feature creative collaborations between traditional dishes from both Myanmar and Singapore, with live acoustic bands and DJs and also fashion brands aimed to give the visitors a taste of the diverse lifestyle.

The previous Singapore Festival in 2018 was held on Bogalayzay Street taking the form of street party and the 2020 edition will be a garden party. The Singapore Festival 2020 is made with the support of Myanmar’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Department of Archaeology and the State School of Fine Arts.

Director, Trade Engagement & New Market (STB), Soo Siew Keong said “For the Singapore festival 2020, it will be a life style event in the historic building called Chin Tsong Palace at the same time you will get the garden party and you can get the enjoy the live music, DJ music, art works and experience the installation art and at the same time the designers’ markets with two shopping.”

Each of the programs in the festival will involve partnership between Myanmar and Singapore talents including cuisine, musicians, artists, fashion brands and illustrations expecting to attract young adults and families from Yangon.
